Hi - I'm trying to program a timed fade out of an audio file.

The audio definition does not have the usual timer control, but it does have fade in and fade out entry boxes. I do not seem to be able to enter a value in there that stays. I enter a value but if I go to another audio and come back or save & re-open the file, the value is not retained.

If I switch to Virtual console and play the file via a button, the fade out value seems to make no difference.

Is that a value in seconds?

v4.7.0 added the timer control and this fixes this perfectly in Windows - fantastic job! I will still test Linux.

There are a few things that would make it even better:

1. Specify a start and hold time - this will make it easy to use the same clip in multiple places in a production without having to edit each clip. You specify the clip to start/fade in at a specific point, play for a determined length end then stop/fade out.

2. Allow the fade out to always work. At the moment stopping the audio track cuts it off. It would be great to set the fade out time and then when I stop it, the track fades out over that time from the point at which it is currently. This will make dynamic transitions easier in performance and it is a one click operation - manual fades are tricky.
