Hi,
I am learning how to use QLC+, and I like it very much.
I start viewing all the tutorials, reading the help, and then I write various profiles of fixtures that I own.
Playing with an scanner and a par led, I found a strange behavior.
Then, I try the same situation, with other profiles (not writen by me) and i got the same result.
Details:
Add 2 fixtures, 1 parcan RGB, 1 scanner/head with color wheel
Create an scene: par R 100%, Scanner head Color wheel green (with gobo open, intensity, o whaterver need in order to see the green ligth )
Result: a RGB par in red, a scanner in green.
Then click on SimpleDesk tab.
Move to 0 the Red channel con RGBPar
Move to 100 the Blue channel con RGBPar
Move to other color the Color wheel con the scanner, let´s say, orange.
Result: a RGB par in Blue, a scanner in orange.
In SimpleDesk, all channels that has been moved, the background turned red, indicating that this channel has overrides the scene previously activated.
Until now, all is working as espected.....
Then, when I want to return to the previous status (rgb red, scanner green) all i need is to "disable" all things modified in simple desk.
in order to do this, all you need is click the "Reset Universe" button con Simple Desk.
In theory, the reset universe disengage/revert , then the rgb par turns into Red, but the color wheel channel goes to zero, not returning to green color wheel.
What things I´m doing wrong, or is a bug???
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my very bad english, I hope that you understand.
Bye
Reset Universe button on Simple Desk
It looks like a bug, but very minor.
From the test I've done, you were in design mode, not in operate mode.
With the function running "for real", the issue does not appear.

Hi David,
in operate mode does the same, when I click in reset univer button, the color wheel channel is set to zero, no the value from the scene.
I try this in 2 diferents computers, both with win7, one 32bits, the other 64bits.
I double check again....

Hi,
> in operate mode does the same
You mean, you run the scene with a button in the virtual console ?
Or you run the scene from the function manager ?
I need more details, thanks.

Hi,
if I run the scene from the function manager or in the virtual console in operate mode and I click a button linked to the scene, is the same....

I understand now why I don't reproduce the bug:
It's been fixed already
But after the release of 4.8.4
So the fix will be included in version 4.8.5 (probably already included in test versions)
Cheers

Speaking of reseting the universe, how about adding a RESET ALL UNIVERSES button somewhere? I have to run two universes because our house dimmer pack doesn't have DMX OUT, just IN, and there is no simple way to make it the "tail" of the chain so we solve the problem with two USBDMX dongles and use two universes. But using Simple Desk (which is very useful) means that we often forget to reset one or the other universe and then things go weird until you realize your mistake.
Another useful option would be to be able to reset the universe "as is", i.e, release the "red" grabbers and make the current cue levels the "correct" ones, and no longer "resettable" to a previous cue (i.e., remove the "red" from the sliders but don't reset the levels).
If you can't do that, then when you move to the next cue, the channels will hold at their "red" levels.
