Hi All,
I am new to QLC+ and having a great time exploring all the options.
I have found a couple of issues with the mac version.
1. 'New Sequence Button' remains active if you click from a created scene to the scene group heading. If you then click the new sequence button, the application quits.
2. In the 'simple desk mode' 32 channels is too wide for 1280 and extends off the screen. This causes the window to remain too wide when changing windows or going into full screen. A work around is to change the 'view' in simple desk which will then let you resize the window. An option to choose the number of channels displayed or scrolling window would be helpful for small screens
3. Fixture monitor window doesn't stay as top window. (as some of tutorial videos on other systems seem to show) Maybe I need a bigger screen, or a second one
4. LED fixtures in the 2D monitor view flash even when DMX values are stable
5. I use and apple magic mouse and find the scroll speed when over the tabbed menus (like fixtures, functions etc) to be too fast and very easy to flick to the wrong screen.
QLC+ is a great program. Thanks to all the code writers for their efforts
Cheers

Issues with 4.8.4 on Mac OS X Yosemite
Point 4 Above - seems to by an issue related to the Fixture definition I created. I can't see what I have done wrong but there must be something.
Other LED fixtures I tested from the included library all work OK.

Thanks Massimo. I was trying so hard to make sure that I didn't ask any dumb questions in my first post.. Thanks for pointing out the relevant documents.
Thanks David for fixing the bug.
In relation to point 4, I have done some further testing of LED fixtures in the library and found some flashed and some didn't. I found that fixtures with 5 channels (or more) with RGB Dimmer Strobe, when the strobe was set to the range 0-255, then the flashing occurs in 2D mode when the dimmer channel is on. If you change the strobe channel to 1-255 then it works as expected, that is the animated light stays stable when the dimmer channel is used and flashes when the strobe channel is engaged.
The LED fixture I am using also has a 4 channel mode, with channel 4 set as 0-127 Dimmer, 128-255 Strobe. I have used an intensity channel for this and set the ranges as stated. Is this the best way to configure it?

Hi Massimo,
I followed the instructions on the page you directed me to and added, simpledesk/channelsperpage
24
to the .plist file.
I tried it also in the format
simpledesk.channelsperpage
24
as that seem to match the rest of the .plist structure.
However, no matter what way I tried, I couldn't make it change the simpledesk settings. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.
Further to my experimenting, each time I made a change to the .plist file, then opened QLC+ and mades some changes, on exit, it would update the .plist file and overwrite my edits.
Am I doing something wrong here?
I have added my edited file and the one the it was overwritten with
