I posted this in the development section and then realized this was a more appropriate place for it, so I've copied it over. I couldn't figure out how to delete the other one..... Sorry!

Hey everyone! I've searched through the forum, but haven't been able to find anything on the act dongle. I own one and am having a bit of trouble getting it working with QLC +

I have been able to get it to recognize the dongle in the input/output tab, but am not able to get any lights to activate. I tried changing the settings in the configuration and still no luck. I may be doing something fundamentally wrong. To test I created a scene, activated the channels and moved the sliders, and nothing was happening.

Anyone else have the acti dongle/ know some basics that I may be doing wrong?

Thank you SO much!!

I had the same problem with my Afterglow Magic interface. It was recognized but would not output anything unless I started QLC+ first and then unplugged it and then plugged it in again. I eventually fixed it by using the latest FTDI drivers instead of the ones that came with the device.

Thanks for the response! I spent several hours messing around with those, and then after installing the new version of QLC+ that came out recently it worked! I think the biggest problem is that my MBP didn't have any D2XX drivers, and I finally found an installer for them, because the manual methods using terminal were all WAY out of date. The latest version that was supported is 10.7.

Now onto beat clocking with Logic.....
