Hello, I am new and just recently found QLC+. I do have a few ideas that may or may not be possible. I stopped programming over 15 years ago so unfortunately I do not remember enough to help, but here are my ideas.
If you could add a slider to a solo frame along with x toggles, which would allow you to define the range of the slider. instead of going from 0-255, you could define the slider to go 0/1-126, 0/127-200, 0/201-255 for example, for some odd lights with preset patterns. This would allow the software to be adjusted for some par cans that do strobe/fade/additional effect on one channel.
In the channel property window where there is the radio button for can fade, possibly add a fade range where 0 is always off, but your in and out fade range can be defined. ex for my RGB PAR can 128-255 is intensity, remap fade limit from 1-255 to 128-255
I may dig into the world of programming once again and if I can figure it out I would be happy to contribute my time. If any of these ideas are possible it would be cool to see, if they are not, or you simply do not have the time, thank you for reading. The software is the easiest DMX software I have seen yet.
Some Ideas
Hey Shaun,
I think this is already implemented, perhaps not completely as you expect it.
Have a look at click & go and the virtual console.
In the virtual console you can set lower and upper bounds for a fader in level mode.
But you can also set klick & go and choose your effect from defined ranges with the button that appears below the fader.
Have a look at the manual.
Cheers,
Janosch
