We used 2 Chauvet Qspot 560 fixtures as "follow" spots in our most recent show. To this end the actor's positions we're mapped and rehearsed with them as well as transitions between scenes. This worked mostly very well.

The problem is that the actor's do not always stand in the exact same spot and then they are out of the light.

Currently there is only one way of solving it and that is to try and edit the function while it is running. This is not something one can do in a live setting as one either has to find the scene via the Live edit interface (many clicks) or via the functions tab (also many clicks and blind mode etc). It needs to be available instantly.

So I am back pleading my case for updating sliders: When a slider is linked to single channel of a single fixture add an option that will update the slider as the values change for that channel and allow it to change the final value. This is effectively what that channel's slider does in the update function functionality. If we map it to the virtual desk then the operator can move the pan, tilt, focus & iris of the fixture a little bit immediately the scene has faded in
