Hi,
Perhaps I'm missing something but, I've got a Cue list running a chase and I use midi-clock to progress with every beat. This works great, timing is perfect. However, I have multiple chases and I want to switch between them. I cannot find a way to do this, since stopping a cue automatically gets activated since the midi clock keeps being send, activating the cue list again. So I'm looking for a way to switch between multiple chases, midi clock time synced (doing the switch when I want to). Hope I'm making sense? Love QLC+ by the way so far, great product!

Multile Cue List running Chase with midi clock
Hi, not sure I got it 100% but what about if instead of Cue lists you use Buttons in a Solo frame ?
On a second thought, let me refine my answer.
The problem here is technical.
You have one MIDI clock and more than one Cue lists (I guess) connected to the same source.
It's obvious that all the Cue list will start to play when the clock kicks in.
I'm not sure if it is possible, but maybe you can send different MIDI clocks on different MIDI channels. This would get you one-to-one Cue list - clock association.
Then all you need to do is start/stop the clock you need to control your Cue lists.
Makes sense ?

Another idea that came into my mind.
Place the Cue lists in separate frames and in each one place a slider in submaster mode.
Before starting the MIDI clock, raise only the submaster of the Cue you intend to play and keep all the others at 0.
In theory (but it's not guaranteed to work) when you start the clock all the cues will play but only the one with the submaster at 100% will affect your lights.
Then all you need to do is simply lower a slider and raise another to switch between cues (it is strongly suggested to use physical sliders to have a rapid change. For example a BCF2000 or a NanoKontrol will do)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been working with Bomes midi translator and loopMIDI to do the design you suggested in the first place. This works fine, but requires external tools. Another thing I'm trying right now is using the "Solo Frame" and multiple cue lists. I was hoping only 1 list would be able to become active like buttons. This doesn't work, unfortunately. A 'Speed Dial' being 'taped' by the midi signal and sending next tap to all cue lists actually works nice. Now I am able to stop the cue list (using midi or keypress) while the tap is sending signals.
So the 'only' adjustment which would be great that if you put cue lists in the solo frame, only one can be active, just like the behaviour as with buttons.
Cheers! Thank you for your great support!

Hi Everybody,
I recently ran into similar issues. As I use a DJ Console (Allen & Heath Xone 4D) which delivers a midi clock signal from it's beatcounter, I am not able to choose different midi clocks for different chasers.
What about letting the chasers listen to their next or prev. input keys (including midi keys, midi clock, keyboard and such) only if in run mode? Or at least, let the user decide by an option which behaviour is wanted?
Just a thought.
Thanks for QLC+!
Cheers,
Ulf

Hi, regarding this topic, I implemented exclusivity of Cue Lists in Solo frames.
It's on GIT now so if you build from sources you can test it right away.

Thank you very much, Massimo.
Seems to work, but I am not shure if I can use MIDI Beat Clock that way, is it possible to have a divisor for the beatclock? So the chaser would not run that fast...
Cheers,
Ulf
