v4.7 Windows 7 64
In operate mode, it looks like the dump dmx functionality does not link the button to the new scene. It does create the scene but the button is not updated.
Dump DMX to button not working?
Hi Chris, can you help me to reproduce this ?
Like with a project or the sequence to see it ?
Thanks
EDIT: with a quick test it seems to be working for me

Attached is a simple workspace with 3 fixtures, 3 rgb click & go sliders, 3 dimmer sliders and button matrix.
Start run mode, pick colours with click & go, hit dump dmx and pick a button. The scene is created but the button is not updated.
There is a scene that was created already using dump dmx to button.

Works perfectly here.
I can see the button's name changing and the Scene is attached correctly.
I just
- opened the project
- went to operate mode
- set the 3 C&G sliders to different colors
- dump to button 52
It turned to "New scene from live 1"
Then I set the 3 sliders to 0 and clicked on the button.
The dumped scene was restored correctly

Could it be a windows thing? I've done it several times and it definitely just creates the scene and does not update the button.
Is there a debug mode that may help?

Ok I think I found it. If you have the monitor open in 2D mode then it does not work. I use the 2D mode now when I prep some basic scenes.
Or maybe not. Now it does not work if I change the name of the scene. BUT, as soon as I saved one with the default name it works and subsequent ones with a change of name also works.
So it seems that I can reliably make it fail if I change the name of the scene after I opened the workspace. If I do one with the default name it works and any others subsequently as well.
Weird...

It works correctly, I was wrong. I am going to put it down to extreme tiredness and under pressure to prepare for a new show. Massimo, I am really sorry to have chased you around unnecessarily.
What happens: If you select by clicking on the check-box then it will tick the check-box for the button and save it properly while if you just select the line of the button it does not tick the check-box and then it does not save.
If I may make a suggestion on improving the UI here: When you select a button then tick the check-box automatically. I cannot think why one would one to assign the dmx to more than one button, simultaneously. If that is a requirement, then only do the auto tick of the check-box if there are no buttons ticked yet.
Using WIndows7-64bit.
