Hi everyone,
I'm new to QLC+ and I'd much appreciate some informations about its stability during live performances. Every year I'm doing a show with music and dancers and last year I used LumiDMX to control lights because I did not know QLC+ (and probably it still did not exist). QLC+ seems much more powerful and usable than LumiDMX, but I need extreme stability during live: playing around a bit with QLC+ on my mac I noticed that sometimes it freezes (and eventually crashes) while adding stuff to my show. I'm sorry about not being more precise but I was just making experiments, next time I'll be more helpfull.
The point is: can I rely on it during live or are there some issues?
Thanks in advance (especially to Massimo for this great program)
QLC+ stability information
You'll have to be a lot more specific about the errors you are getting and what you are doing. Maybe share your workspace.
I have run QLC+ in theatre performance environment using windows and linux via a dmxKing dongle with no problem whatsoever. Sometimes leaving a light setting for quite a while and then a flurry of activity, for many a night in succession.
In my experience it is very stable and reliable. During set-up I might get the (very) rare lock-up or crash but it has been very stable.

I just used QLC+ for a 13 hour show on Saturday the 1st. No crashes! I have only once experienced a QLC+ crash, and that was a fatal bug back in 4.3 that the crew has fixed.
That's the longest I've ever had it run in a single sitting, curious if anyone else here has pulled a marathon show with it.
