Ok, hi everybody

Here is a suggestion i launched years ago (wonder if it was in the time
when qlcplus was qlc)... anyway :

Did people think about the power to have an NLE editor (like in video or
audio software, please check on the internet if you don't know), instead
of a step base editor . I know it is a great change in light programming
conception, but don't you think it is time to renew functions that we
all use during 10, 20, 30 years ?
This is a big change, many code, i know (i i don't code anymore... only
translate for qlcplus)

this is a function that could be include in the timeline panel for
example...

I don't know if any desk does it by the way (maybe jands vista i heard
?...) but if qlcplus does, it could be a hero in the light programming
world, i am fed up with steps programming for complicated chases

Here is the idea, i let everybody discuss about it
OddSocks

Hi,

I have worked with both audio and video NLE systems.

Can you give an example of how you see this would working with lighting / QLC+.
Massimo Callegari

Hi, in a pure matter of sense, the show editor is already non linear.
You can insert a sequence at any point in the timeline and you can reproduce the show at any time too.

So, I agree with OddSocks, can you explain in details what is the big change you're thinking of ?

In fact you're right I was maybe wrong with terms
I was talking about a graph editor, like in AfterEffects
The idea is to have fixture parameters vertically, a timeline horizontally and bezier curves moving parameters along the time.
