Here is a definition for a Showtec Acrobat.

I have come across a slight problem in that it has three 16bit movements, and I am not sure how to control the third.

Added, thanks.

PS Any chance to have some gobos defined ?
OddSocks

They were there, just the gobo location in the QXF file had C:/QLC+/Gobo/, so they weren't showing up.

Have edited the file and now is OK.

Any ideas about how to control the third 16bit control.

Updated, thanks.
So far the 16bit precision is still under discussion. I don't think QLC+ can do anything about it now. sorry

16bit control:

As far as I know, 16 bit channels are hardcoded only for PAN and TILT and only for EFX. No other 16 bit channels (so fading two positions using scenes doesn't use 16 bit right now).

I am planning to improve the situation, but without any date promises yet...

I even don't know what happens if you assign two channels to PAN group... I have to check.
Nevertheless, for now you have to choose one of the PAN channels to be 16 bit, and the other stays 8bit (or better, stays at 2 unlinked 8bit channels).

I can't imagine now how you would map the 2D EFX plane to those 3 axes... the whole engine has to change I'm afraid...

Can we not make it so that in the edit function of the xy pad you can manually select 8 or 16 bit and which channels to use. This could also be reused for normal sliders.

I have a plan how to implement 16bit, but haven't found time yet.

The idea to choose XY pad channels is nice - it may be used for some nice effects, like assigning red and green channels to it.
OddSocks

Looking at the code, the XY pad always uses the last single or double channels marked as Pan or Tilt.

This is very neat for normal fixtures but there is no way to override this. I may have to edit the fixture definition to get the channels I want selected.

I do like you idea of using the pad for other uses.

As for the EFX I agree the engine gets massively complicated trying to deal with three axis, but again being able to manually select channels would help.
