Hi, here's another one I've acquired. The Kam iLink Blue 500 laser.

There's a typo in the instructions for the DMX functions which I've fixed. The attached images add to the definition if they're placed in the Others directory under Gobos. I guess they're not embedded in the definition itself, so would need adding separately. If you don't want them, please ditch.

STOP! I think a generic definition covering the iLink laser range would be better - there's only one manual for the lot and it could be done with 2 modes - one for single colours, one for multiple. That's in progress...

Update at last:

This definition covers the following Kam lasers:

iLink Blue 500, iLink RGY, Ilink GBC, iLink RBP and iLink Green. Use the mode function to select the model to use.

The attached images.zip file contains a number of generic laser related icons that nearly every laser you can buy uses. I put these in Gobos/Others/Laser. They are all made by me so there's no copyright issues.

I may generate generic roll/zoom/rotate icons too if there's any point? Obviously I can't rip off the datasheets so they would all be new too.

Hi Boxy, sorry for the huge delay in reviewing this.
I'm not sure if I want to adventure into lasers pictures. As far as I know it is very difficult to find a common ground for them.
Covering most of the cases would require hundreds of pictures.

For example I've got a couple of lasers that don't have the modes yours have, so the pictures you made wouldn't be appropriate.

Maybe I can add the "naked" definition and leave each user to improve them with their custom pictures.
Or maybe we can start creating a separate picture "library" external to QLC+ that anyone can download and add to QLC+ when needed.

Suggestions ?

Hi Massimo,

I don't think the situation is much different to that for Gobos. I have put somewhere on here more icons (eg. x-roll, y-roll, x-pos etc) which nearly every laser of note has.

I agree that specific colour change settings are unique to some products, so they should not go in a generic library. I have put these images up for someone to use should they wish. Perhaps an 'installer' downloads the images when someone adds the fixture (!). Perhaps not.

Either way they're there for anyone to use. I disagree that hundreds of icons would be needed by the way. Only 'extras' like ultra blue, laser gobo effects would add to the mix. These can remain generic.

I like the library idea.
