Hi, Im having issues trying to get this light to work, I have created a profile, I'm pretty sure i followed all the steps, when i try to use it by its self on qlc+ it responds for a moment. I bring up a fader for a color it works, light comes on with chosen color, but then it stays on and does not respond to any other function. I can reset the fader, hard reset the universe, the light just stays on and does not respond. I can power off the light, unplug the dmx line plug everything back in, it just goes right back to that chosen color. I have even connected another light with it and all channels worked for a brief moment then it would stick again. When it sticks with the other light connected, I have no control of the other light either.... neither light responds. Need help figuring this out, or perhaps some one can create a profile? AS i said i'm not sure if i created the profile wrong, and that may be a cause to the issue but I have deleted and recreated the profile several times still does the same thing.

Try the attached.

It sounds like your light DMX interface may be fried. Does the DMX indicator LED flash when you hook it up? Is the other light fine without the suspect one and could the cables be rubbish microphone wires?

Try it anyway.

Thanks for the quick response and the profile. DMX indicator LED flashes when hooked up, and is sending signal. All my other lights which are all Chauvet work fine with out the suspect light. I have two of these DMF-10 and tried both, they do the same thing. Cables are all good dmx cables. Have a terminator at the end of the chain. It worked for a short moment when it was connected in the chain with other lights but then it did the same thing. The light or software got hung up,and all lights remained on. none of the lights were responding. But this only happens with this specific model light. Losing my wits!

So one DMF-10 lamp on its own dies in this way, with it's own terminator on one cable length with zero other fixtures? Then you say the other one does the same, when on it's own circuit too?

The fixture definition isn't the issue for sure. Have both lights been plugged into something faulty at some point (the infamous 'This one's knackered, plug the other one in...')?

For my own sanity, does the fixture monitor window show correct DMX outputs when you are changing things? ie. all zeros apart from what should be going up and down?

Then try bumping up the DMX address to 30 or in increments of 1 to see if different channels get affected.

I restarted everything using the single I have the light addressed on channel 30. I moved the first fader (ch 30) up which is for the red color. The light turns on red and it sticks. When I change the address on the fixture (with out touching the software) to channel 29 the light changes to green, change to 28 blue change to 27 white etc... essentially working backwards...

PSU failure. As the LEDs pull more current the voltage varies or drops and the fixture controller crashes. Google 'bad caps'. The units may have live switch mode PSUs inside with 300V on them so be careful.

Bit off topic now. ;)
